About me...
Hello and welcome to The Cultural Dish! My name is Elyse and I am a twenty-something with a Master's in Higher Education/International Education and I love to travel and eat delicious new food!

More importantly though, I am Italian and Irish so I LOVE to cook! Being from a large and crazy family, I have always had a natural love of food and pastry but never believed I could facilitate a career out of that love. However, I decided that it would be better to take a risk and explore a career in the foodie world.

Now, I bake cakes (and hope to someday make a cake for Aerosmith, my bff Adam Sandler (love you Adam!), Conan, Tom Hanks, and many more..), and I share my own recipes and dining experiences.

With that in mind, The Cultural Dish will explore the world of travel, food, and drink, and will of course have a sweet twist! After all, you cannot have a cultural dish without dessert, right!? I will also feature some restaurants and travel ideas from my own town of Portsmouth, NH - a beautiful seacoast town in New England.  That way when you visit, you'll know where to go!

The Hubs and I... we always run when free beer is involved!

And we are obsessed with our senior cat that we adopted, so be prepared for photos of her! This was our Christmas Card this past year!

More about this blog...
The Cultural Dish is a food blog with a goal to illustrate that you do not have to travel the globe in order to experience the deliciousness that the world has to offer. Recipes, photos, reviews, and step-by-step instructions will be featured.
